The SMMT & AIO Meet the Buyer event

Wednesday 8th June 2016| The NEC Birmingham

The SMMT & AIO Meet the Buyer event will be held at the Automechanika Show at the NEC in June, and businesses are now invited to submit their expressions on interest in attending.

Online expression of interest (The deadline for submissions is 29 April 2016). After this date, all profiles will be reviewed by the buyers. SMMT will be in touch with companies as soon as a buyer confirms a meeting after this date.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI): Companies with a business interest in attending this event, will need to complete the online form here: http://meetthebuyer.autosupplierfinder.com.

Buyer participation

A legally vetted process drawn up by SMMT is used to gather the necessary sourcing demand information from buyers. The Automotive Supplier Finder (ASF) database of product and service terms will be used to check for supplier capabilities against the buyer’s commodity demand list and therefore we strongly recommend that suppliers keep their profiles up to date throughout the year. If any companies in your area wish to participate in future events as a buyer, please ask them to contact SMMT at supplychain@smmt.co.uk for more information.

Supplier participation

The event is by invitation only. We ask each interested supplier to complete a company profile online and express interest in attending the event via http://meetthebuyer.autosupplierfinder.com.  SMMT will submit each profile to the buyers and they will let SMMT know which companies they would like them to officially invite for a one to one meeting at the event. The expression of interest form is open for the 2016.

Note: Attendees for the Meet the Buyer event must also register their FREE attendance for the Automechanika Show  when the registration page is open. If any companies are interested in exhibiting at the show please  email amb@smmt.co.uk  for more information.
